Bobbing Head Dolls/Nodders Bobbing Head Dolls were a big hit from the start of the 1960's. The first dolls released were made of papier-mâché and set on a wood base. They are called bobbing head dolls, bobble head dolls and nodders. Today's dolls are made of poly resin and are player specific with limited production. This has brought new attention to the bobbing head doll industry. Pricing is for perfect condition only and perfect dolls with original boxes command prices. Some of of the dolls from the early 1960's are being faked and are identified inside.
